The temple is famous for numerous answered prayers. Visitors kneel before the main altar and shake a bamboo cylinder containing fortune sticks, until one falls out. They then exchange the stick with a piece of paper carrying the same number, which a fortune teller will explicate the details and offer guidance.
In addition to worshipping Wong Tai Sin, the temple is also dedicated to the Three Saints (Lord Guandi, Bodhisattva Guanyin, and Patriarch Lüzu) and Confucius. It demonstrates how Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism coexist and interact with one another.
